e-Chart on the Use of Technology

Rose Publishing have made available online a free e-Chart taken from the book ‘10 Tips for Parenting the Smart Phone Generation’. The use of technology is considered under the headings of physical effects and social-emotional effects. The document is written in a helpful way and is designed to help parents think about what is happening to children in the use of technology.

Starting University

Starting university can be one of the biggest steps you take. It is often the first time that you move away from home and there will be many questions and thoughts that race through your mind. Will I make friends? What will people think of me? Will I get homesick? I write this article from my own experiences as a student who found it difficult to adjust to university life, and I hope it may be helpful for those who are starting university this year, or are hoping to go to university at some point.

Christian Values in Education 20th Anniversary National Event Saturday 24 September 2016

Christian Values in Education have taken the opportunity at the 20th Anniversary National Event 2016 to address matters of concern relating to the curriculum, and the influences which impact on children and young people today. The National Event will provide an opportunity to hear about the work of Lovewise and view the resources they have produced relating to Sex and Relationships Education, and other dangers arising from the use of technology. We have also convened a parent and teacher panel to share thoughts around the use of social media in order to assist parents and young people in considering the responsible use of technology.
